Teddy Bear Picnic Party Invitations

Invite guests to your teddy bear picnic with an invitation showcasing the theme, like this Teddy Bear design! Personalize with all the details and if you choose our party activity shown below, make sure to include a note about the photo item they need to bring!

Teddy Bear Picnic Party Decorations

First things first, shop your house for any whicker picnic décor, plaid blankets, and plush teddy friends you can use as party props. Surround these easy finds with a few handmade creations, high flying balloons, photos of the birthday boy and and you’ll all set for a celebration for your little man turning the big ONE!

Next, use the picnic atmosphere for your color palette – red picnic blanket under a blue sky with a yellow jar full of honey. Play up these party colors in your tableware, backdrop and personalized accessories.

Since everyone’s there to celebrate your baby’s first milestone year, why not put his age front and center? Dress up paper mache letters, in a disguise, if you will, to fit the picnic theme! Turn the “O” into a beehive with some crepe paper streamers, “N” into a picnic blanket complete with pesky pom pom aunts and “E” into a patch of green grass.

Teddy Bear Picnic Party Food

A group of hungry party guests would be unBEARable! Play up the whole picnic theme with picnic themed party food! There are lots of marvelous things to eat today when you lay out premade sandwiches, salty snacks, cute themed food or fresh fruit at your outdoor themed soiree.

Even though most park signs will warn “Don’t feed the bears” you should encourage your guests to fill those tummies! Create a custom teddy bear trail mix with teddy bear shaped grahams, honeycomb cereal and fluffy marshmallows.

Spread peanut butter on a slice of celery and add some raisins for good old ants on a log to play into the picnic theme. Serve them in ready to pick up food trays and let guests choose their favorite picnic eats.

Quench their thirst with some sweet summertime lemonade served in cute polka dot cups, straws and washi tape flags to bring in more cuteness.

When it comes time for the sweets, consider cute teddy bear cookies, paw print cupcakes or even a teddy bear cake! No matter which sweet treat you consider, make a cute ONE garland to hang on his highchair and fit the party theme. This way every smashed-cake-in-the-face photo your guests capture, it will be branded with this teddy bear picnic birthday party theme.

Teddy Bear Picnic Party Activities

Everyone loves baby photos and wonderful games to play! Encourage guests to bring a photo of them around age 1 and put together a fun guessing game. They will love looking through the photos, trying to spot recognizable features of each guest or immediate family members. Get a laugh at the funny outfits seen through the decades and learn who isn’t currently sporting their natural hair color! Display the party photos on a red dot flag banner using blue clothespins to hang.

Teddy Bear Picnic Party Favors

Just as the song says, “every teddy bear who has been good is sure of a treat today!” In this case each guest will leave your teddy bear picnic with the warm fuzzies with an adorable party favor.

Gift them a cute bear container filled with bear themed goodies and add a custom tag to thank them for attending this huge celebration.
