Dear Aidan,
Ho, ho, ho! I am so excited to come visit your house in Maryland on Christmas Eve! The elves and I have been busy getting ready. The last of the toys are being built and all the jingle bells are being put on the sleigh.
Dasher, Rudolph, Comet, and all of the other reindeer are getting excited, too! They are practicing their flying skills every day. They even have contests, like who can do the most loops in a minute, and who can fly the highest. Today they had a contest for who could carry the most elves. Prancer won with 12 elves! It was quite a sight, Aidan!
I asked Mrs. Claus for a brand new black belt with a shiny buckle to wear this year on Christmas Eve. If you can keep a secret, Aidan, I’ll tell you what I’m giving her. I got her a pair of earrings shaped like snowflakes. She will love them.
We’ve been making lots of cookies! I love to eat cookies and drink milk for dessert. I’ve made sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies, and peanut butter cookies. My favorites are the sugar cookies shaped like Christmas trees. What is your favorite cookie, Aidan?
Well, I better get back to packing the sleigh. Sleep tight on Christmas Eve, Aidan! I wouldn’t want to wake you when I come to deliver your presents. Have a merry Christmas!
