Decorations can really help make a party successful. A great birthday party has a theme that reflects the interests of the guest of honor, be it a sport or hobby, favorite TV show or movie, or something out of science or nature. Once you've chosen the theme it's time to get the party supplies. There is tableware to match most any party theme. There are also all the obvious decorations, like balloons, streamers, party hats, and party favors. And then there are the things that don't easily fit into neat categories.

Dangling decorations are a good example. These are coiled shapes and small picture cutouts that you can hang around the room or over the table on strings and ribbon. They come in all kinds of shapes, styles, and colors and have pictures of everything from Disney princesses to Scooby Doo. You can also get honeycomb tissue paper balls in several bright colors. These fun hanging decorations can really add color to a room.

You can get fun, colorful beverage straws that are bent into all kinds of fun shapes. There is even a tropical cutlery set with brightly colored forks, knives, and spoons shaped like palm trees and flamingos. There are themed bibs for baby, and also themed highchair sets that include a floor mat and a banner for the chair.

Mark the party's location with a 1st birthday lawn sign, or draw all over the windows with our colorful window markers. For an extra festive room, put down a giant inflatable whale, pirate, dinosaur, or palm tree. You can't decorate too much, so be sure to pick up everything you can.
