Rising Cards

What You'll Need:

• A Deck of Cards

1. Stack your deck with the five of clubs and the four of spades on the top of the deck.


2. Just below them, place the four of clubs and the five of spades.

1. Pick up the top two cards and show them quickly to the audience. You don't need to see the cards since you already know what they are!


2. Ask two volunteers to step up, and hand one of the cards to each of them, face-down.


3. Then, have the volunteers randomly place the cards anywhere in the middle of the deck.


4. Tap the deck, say some magic words, and ask the cards to rise to the top of the stack.


5. Peel off the four of clubs and five of spades, showing them to the audience.


6. It will appear that the two cards they glanced at the beginning of the trick magically rose to the top of the deck.
