Blind Man's Bluff

How To Play:
This game is best played in a large, empty room. To begin, gather all of the children into the room and choose one player to be the "blind man." Blindfold the chosen player. When you say, "Go," the blind man must try to tag anybody he or she can find. All of the other players should scramble to avoid being tagged, and they may call out the blind man's name to tease him or her.
Rules/Variations:
You can use any combination of the following rules to make this game easier (for younger children/smaller groups), more challenging (for older children/larger groups), and/or more fair for all players:
- If there are few players, and the blind man is at a disadvantage… End each round as soon as the blind man tags one other player. Have the tagged player become the blind man for the next round.
- If you're playing with a larger group of children and/or in a smaller room… The blind man must tag ALL players before the round is over. Once all of the players have been tagged, either the first or the last player tagged (your choice) becomes the blind man for the next round.
- If you're playing with an older group of children… Once the blind man tags a player, he or she must feel that player's face and try to guess who it is. The round ends if the blind man guesses correctly, and the tagged player becomes the new blind man. If the blind man guesses incorrectly, the game continues until he or she tags a player AND correctly guesses that player's name.
Theme Party Modifications: If you're throwing a themed party, name the blind man after a character from your chosen theme. When appropriate, give the rest of the players a group name. For example, if you are throwing a dinosaur-themed party, call the blind man "T-Rex" and call the rest of the players "Cavemen" or "Cavewomen."
