At The Party:
Tell the birthday child that he/she is "Mumble" for the first round. Mumble stands in front of the other guests and calls out, "Mumble says…" followed by a direction to follow. Mumble can only direct players to perform dancing moves with their feet or to clap their hands. Examples include, "Mumble says...":- Tap your left toe twice and your right heel once.
- Jump and spin 3 times.
- Clap twice to your left, tap your right foot, clap twice to the right, tap your left foot.
- Etc.
Every now and then, Mumble should call out a command without first saying "Mumble says." Any guests who follow this command are out of the game.
Unlike the original version of Simon Says, don't take players out of the game when they perform the command imperfectly since Mumble's directions can sometimes get a little complicated! Let them stay in the game as long as they tried to do the dance and Mumble first said, "Mumble says."
The last player standing gets to be Mumble for the next round. Play several rounds.
