• Cut the shape of a school locker out of red construction paper and make a slit around three sides of the door so the door swings open. Paste the locker onto another sheet of paper and write all the party details inside the locker door frame. Your guests will have to open the locker to view the invite.
• Cut a piece of construction paper into a triangle with one point longer than the rest. This will resemble a school pennant. Write “Go Wildcats Go!” on one side and all the party details on the other. For a more realistic look, use felt instead of construction paper.
• Create a card-style invitation and write “Go! Fight! Win!” on the front. Use creative wording on the inside for your party details such as:
  The wildcats are smokin’!
  Don’t get in their way!
  The wildcats are coming
  To [child’s name]’s [age] birthday!
  
• Punch a hole in the corner of a card-style invitation and tie it to a red and white pom-pom. Hand-deliver or mail them in padded envelopes.
• Purchase small inflatable basketballs. Write the party details on each inflated ball, then deflate them and send them to your guests. They will have fun blowing up the ball to read the party details.

• Keep in mind the Wildcat colors when choosing traditional decorations. Drape red and white streamers from the ceiling and group clusters of red and white balloons around the party area.
• Set out basketballs as decorations, which can be later utilized in different activities.
• Make school lockers out of narrow cardboard boxes. Spray paint the boxes red and draw on the details with a black marker. Use a box cutter to cut along three sides of the door so it opens. For an added touch, cut out two holes, one on each side of the door opening, and attach a real lock. Assign each guest a locker when they arrive and let them store their coats and other items inside. Stick the favor bags in the lockers before the guests leave and give them a surprise when they open their lockers to gather their belongings.
• Make signs that represent the school and hang them on the walls of the party area. Some phrases to use might be: “Go Wildcats Go!”, “Troy + Gabriella”, “High School Rocks!”, and “Friends 4 Ever”
• Call your local theater or video store and see if they have any old HSM posters you could have or purchase. Hang them around the party area.
• Print HSM3 images off the computer, laminate them and use them as placemats.
• Cut the shape of a sports jersey out of red construction paper or cloth and write “Wildcats” on the front. Hang it from a doorframe that the children will not be passing through.
• Consider making the party prom-themed and ask your guests to come in formal wear. Hand out corsages and boutonnieres to each guest as they arrive.
• Hang a High School Musical piñata in the party area as a decoration before the activity begins. For small party spaces or young children, consider a pull-string piñata.

• Decorate the food table with different classroom items such as a stack of books, a jar of pencils, notebooks (add doodles to the covers!), and a backpack.
• Cut traditional rice cereal treats with star-shaped cookie cutters. Sprinkle them with red and white sugar crystals before serving.
• Cut peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in shapes that fit the theme – such as megaphones, microphones, and stars. Cut these shapes out of cheese as well and serve them with crackers.
• Make edible megaphones by cutting ½ inch off the pointed end of a sugar cone. Frost the cone in white frosting and write “EHS” in red frosting on one side.
• Make a veggie tray using all veggies that are not red in color. Then, with red colored veggies (such as red pepper slices, tomatoes, or radishes), spell “EHS” within the rest of the veggies.
• Make pawprint cupcakes to represent the Wildcats! Frost regular cupcakes in white or red frosting. Use a junior mint candy as the paw pad and four brown M&Ms as the toes, and set them on top of the cupcake.
• For a different approach, serve traditional cafeteria fare such as sliced pizza, sub sandwiches, carrot sticks with ranch dressing, bananas, and chocolate or regular milk.
• Make a basketball cake by frosting a round cake with orange frosting, and drawing on the ball’s seams with black frosting. For an alternative, use our star-shaped cake pan to create a “superstar” cake and write “Go Wildcats!” on top.
