Fried Plantains

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 plantains
  • cinnamon, if desired
  • paper towels

Directions:
  1. Preheat oil in a large, deep skillet over medium/high heat.
  2. Peel the plantains and cut them in half. Slice the halves lengthwise into 4 thin pieces.
  3. Fry the pieces until browned and tender.
  4. Drain excess oil on paper towels and sprinkle with a little cinnamon if desired.
